@fdroidorg I am not sure if I will ever get why anybody may want notifications? Intentional distractions every few seconds? Who needs that? What is the use case? I mean, I am generally glad that google alternatives exist, but its a double sided sword if the push notification informs me about a special offer, right?

Just because *others* abused notifications it does not mean that good #FLOSS apps don't need it. Yes, exert your control, as expected.
