Oh christ, it’s so unbelievably awful.
I made this mistake recently on my daily driver phone after resisting for a while.
It is so, so, SO VERY BAD. 🤬
I had installed 26 on an iPad mini to steel myself and to get familiar with it, but 26 isn't as annoying on an iPad, oddly. It may be the scale of it vs the phone, or iPad OS update wasn't as horrid.
There are a few setting in Accessibility that can help, but only a a tiny bit. I tried some of them, like reducing white point and motion, and reducing text size to the absolute smallest, but nothing yet is stopping the jumpy text boxes, bleeding ovals over buttons, the volume bar appearing randomly, the onscreen keyboard taking up half the phone's real estate, the alarm screen's gargantuan characters, and the swishy, jumpy, glaring, transparent windows in apps.
H⁸ it so much, but I don't have the energy to go through the onerous process of downgrading back to 18 and losing messages, emails, etc. 😞
@arisummerland You can…do that?
@adamgreenfield best of luck! I’m still frozen on ios17 for as long as possible
