In 1969, NASA landed humans on the Moon with 4KB of RAM (really).

In 2026, a simple chat app needs 400MB of RAM just to show a blinking cursor.

We've traded optimization for developer velocity, and while I love modern frameworks, sometimes I miss the era when software felt "light". Is it efficiency we lost, or just the respect for the user's hardware?
