Goal for 2026: get to know @darktable better!
It's not the same as Lightroom, but it seems to be the most fitting alternative for me.
Anyone here with a professional background in photography who left Adobe and has any tipps?

Also just downloaded @digikam to maybe replace Adobe Bridge.
I really loved Narrative Select, but since they switched to only subscription models, I was left without a good, fast culling software.
@sturmsucht @digikam thanks for all your input! I will report back :)
@katap @darktable it's on my list too! Played around with it a bit, but no deep dive yet. A (non-linux nativ) commercial alternative would be Affinity right now. They just released their newest version for free & Win and even are discussing a Linux port.

Other than that: let's escape Adobe this year!
@sturmsucht @darktable yeah me too. Darktable has some really cool features, but the learning curve is extremely steep.
I already use Affinity instead of Photoshop or InDesign.
At first glance rawtherapee is not for me, but I might give it another try this year.
