I hope this year is the big year of jpgxl and with that it will get more performant someday.

I don't see Groups anymore in the menu (before it was still there in local host screenshots).
Does this mean that you let this functionality go all together or is it still somewhere in the roadmap?

I'm new to the whole Mastadon and ActivityPub thing.

Can somebody explain what PixelFed is?
I mean since it's ActivityPub enabled, I'll be able to see posts from there, right?
But I will not be able to use it (UI from screenshot) with current account, and will need an account there?

Hi @dansup I would like to suggest respectfully to focus more in fixing "boring" bugs and closing issues (https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/) more than working on a new version of the UI?

@pixelfed is good, I run an instance, but I cannot suggest my family and friends to use it yet.

* migrate to a different Fediverse server?
* see a 1:1 display of an img?
* see more than 2 levels of comments?
* write a reply in a box that is wider than 3 chars?
* go from a feed to a post and back w/o losing scroll position?
* filter feeds, so when sm1 imports 117 images of their dog tagged "street" I don't have to mute them?
* set a default view for my feed (grid, masonry, list)?
* see >10 relations per page and sort the list?
* create a group?

@dansup @PixelFed it's just a dream of mine, but i would love to see the UI just as how instagram's UI was back then. The blue bar and buttons had way more personality than these modern designs.
I can't be the only one wanting this, either way i'm already grateful for what you're doing. When everything is stable, i'll convert as many people as i can from insta to pixelfed
