Having stumbled on @zotero I'm hoping it's applicable to my style of research, which is just bookmarks ATM but could do with things like categories, notes and highlighting.
Unfortunately I will have to use Firefox or LibreFox if I want to use their "connectors" but I will try the "save" page too (as I mostly use #BraveBrowser these days).
@happyborg if you haven't heard of it, what you're describing sounds a lot like a different tool, Readeck, which I use extensively myself. I find it pretty excellent to use and it works on pretty much every browser: https://readeck.org/en/ I've replaced my use of browser-specific bookmarks...
@lightweight I do research on Android and Linux and collate on Linux. Do you think it will work well for that?

Is it also suitable for sharing, and/or collaborative work. My fiancee and I have some things we collaborate on or want to share with each other.
@happyborg Yup - if you have an instance, you can make it visible online so multiple users can use it, and I believe you can share your index... I've got several people using my instance.
