Held up against a window to show it in daylight, a partly-finished piece of illuminated calligraphy with celtic knotwork. The text, calligraphed in brown ink blackletter script, reads 'Studies have shown that it do be like that sometimes'. The first 'S' is a big illuminated letter in the shape of a dragon, coloured in red and blue, with white and black details, and with the tongue of the dragon extending out to a green celtic knot that fills the spaces in the loops of the S. The S is encased in a box of very shiny gold paint, and the whole piece is surrounded by a thicker celtic knot in shades of green, with red and blue in the corners, and the spaces around and between the knotwork filled in gold.
