Calligraphed in brown ink, blackletter script, 'Studies have shown that it do be like that sometimes'. The first 'S' is a big, ornate, illuminated letter in the shape of a dragon with a tongue that extends to form celtic knotwork around the letter, with the spaces filled in shiny metallic gold paint.

Some base watercolours down on the dragon. Enough for today, my shoulder's hurting now

An ornamental letter 'S' with an animal head, wings, and pawbs, and a tongue that extends into celtic knotwork. The 'S' is red with blue outline, the head, wings and paws are purple, and the knotwork is green.
