@Mabande @mekkaokereke Maybe it's from seeing the Ralph Bakshi movie before I read the books (um, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and maybe a third of the Two Towers before I was bored stiff), but I always thought the orcs were stand-ins for the Wehrmacht.
Maybe I should build a chode-trap dating site and call it Lovecraft. All I need is some bro to be my face for the VCs and the money will just roll in.

@mekkaokereke @Mabande I failed to notice that shit when I was 15, but at least I also "failed" to make my life revolve around it.
But I'll guarantee you that the chodes going batshit over Black elves being in The Rings of Power are the same ones who went batshit over Rue being Black in The Hunger Games, even though she was described that way in the book. (And they also carpet-bombed the reviews when Amandla Stenberg went on to do Star Wars: Acolyte.)
