#WindowMaker users. What apps do you use to flesh out the environment? Specifically what file manager do you pair with it? And how do you manage default apps and mimetypes?

Extra credit if the apps in question are in #FreeBSD ports.

@trashheap I use Thunar and xdg-mime to set default apps. I think there is a way to have Thunar update it (from Open With commands) but I don’t remember exactly; maybe something like xfconf or such.

@joel @trashheap I've got Window Maker set up on my laptop and I've been loving it again. I second xdg-mime (which like most FLOSS software also works on NetBSD) but since I prefer orthodox-style file managers (the Commander-style ones) I use Worker as my file manager. http://www.boomerangsworld.de/cms/worker/

Worker plays well with xdg-mime since it both shows the MIME type of each file and uses xdg-open by default for file types it doesn't know about, so setting an app to use in xdg-mime works by default.
