My old hot water bottle burst open when I hugged it so now I have to hug an ice pack instead 😩

@falkowata ouch, I'm sorry to read this and hope you feel much better soon.
This year I learned about the daisy wheel on hot water bottles to date them, and that they only have shelf life of about 2 years!

@falkowata I threw mine away after reading this, mine was about the same age as yours!
Immediately after posting this I checked the NHS website for any advice on dealing with hot water burns and found out that you should NOT use an ice pack.
Remember kids, "cool the burn with cool or lukewarm running water for 20 to 30 minutes – do not use ice, iced water, or any creams or greasy substances like butter"
