@BigTittyBimbo I mean sure, I dunno, I wasn't there. But the Nazis kidnapped and threatened to shoot Horthy's kid for a reason. Which kinda has relevance here in our present situation. Not really sure why that doesn't mean it was an occupation.

@AnarchoNinaWrites my hungarian friends are under the impression that the public attitude from the get go was to appease the nazis and that standing up to them was considered political suicide.
That action of appeasement lead to 550,000 (about ⅔ of hungarys jewish population) being killed.
But then, my friends are historians, what would they know.
