I have a friend who is aiming to do interesting things with several hundred Facebook groups he owns. The gist of it is to try and leverage one of the worst companies in the world as a platform for carbon drawdown. We may see this year if that has legs. More on that some time.
But obvs, that’s still using Facebook as a starting place.
One of the great things to look forward to in 2026 is what @Bonfire are building: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwZZKSXbWX4
…I’m particularly enthused about where Bonfire Networks may go with their Community app.
How amazing it will be to have an option that isn’t Facebook or Nextdoor
