@DavidBHimself Well, for Irak, part of the propaganda exercice was about convincing NATO allies, remember General Powell disgracing himself at the UN? The first units to hit the ground where the British SAS, the Australian SAS and the U.S. Delta Force. Do you remember the whole “freedom fries” thing because France refused to join?
This time, there won't be any of that, only the ghost of Rumsfeld whispering that this war will pay for itself…
@thias Still, America traditionally sees itself as the good guys. They always invent narratives as to why that other country is the bad guy that needs to be invaded to save its people by killing them.
This time, it doesn't even bother. We want Venezuela's oil and Greenland's resources, here we come, and Canada, you're next.
@DavidBHimself that’s the thing, Trump knows, if only intuitively, that he has the ultimate hostage: the US’s self image. Society has a simple choice: admitting it was wrong, that the political and social system is broken and needs a serious change, or look the other way. The guy bulldozed one side of the White House with no consequences, he can do whatever he wants.
