About horror, that helped calm my mind: Paperbacks from Hell by Grady Hendrix
YA: These Fleeting Shadows by Kate Alice Marshall
Classic: Carmilla by Le Fanu
And lastly, the thriller-horror that stuck in my mind for years after: The Good Son by You-Jeong Jeong
Depends on your definition of horror, and what you consider boring but...
