I do rather like the #InternetArchive zoom feature, with its progressive higher-resolution loading the more you zoom (is that the IIIF API in action?).
Does anyone know what this crest might be? I assumed it was a buffalo to start with, but it does say 'tiger'…

If it was letterhead for the ship, a bit odd to be used by "civilians".
