Mobile Voting Project's vote-by-smartphone has real security gaps - CITP Blog

Bradley Tusk has been pushing the concept of “vote by phone.”    Most recently his “Mobile Voting Foundation” put out a press release touting something called “VoteSecure”, claiming that “secure and verifiable mobile voting is within reach.”  Based on my analysis of VoteSecure, I can say that secure and verifiable mobile voting is NOT  within reach. Datacenters in space are a terrible, horrible, no good idea.

There is a rush for AI companies to team up with space launch/satellite companies to build datacenters in space. TL;DR: It's not going to work.

@pluralistic Honestly I really just want copyright to be bound to the humans who actually created a work, and ownership to be non-transferable.
So if you write a book, you own it, and can extend permissions for use to others as you see fit, but they can never "own" it, you retain the capacity to retract those rights, extend them to others, etc. for the duration it's protected. (With death of the author(s) as a hard-limit on duration.)
