@kagihq wait I see a symbol that suggests "AI" presence with the browser. This would be bad. Can you confirm that no data is being handled by an AI when we use kagi?
@tsyum Hi there, that's the Orion browser logo which we've had for many years and which does not symbolize AI. If you use any AI in Kagi, by choice, you can refer to this section in our privacy policy: https://kagi.com/privacy#AIML
This post shows why Orion ships with no built鈥慽n AI code in its core: https://blog.kagi.com/orion
@kagihq ah good to know. A bunch of these so-called AI companies are using similar/identical logos to suggest some sort of magic or thing we shouldn鈥檛 think too much about - which has been disturbing
@kagihq Nordpass extension doesn't work on Orion and that's a deal breaker for me.
When something is released for iOS only these days it's a sort of snobbery.
@kagihq Well it HAS TO be trusted at least up untill it stays closed source. Trust it does exactly and only what you say it does is all users really have, when source code is secret.
@kagihq Cool! I do find it pretty confusing that the Orion logo looks so much like the star symbol that became the standard "use AI"-button lately.
@kagihq if it's not #opensource how can we trust it even a little bit? I'm not being rhetorical here, you just have a website that says it's trustworthy that's the only difference between Orion and #googlechrome
How can you be MORE trustworthy than #firefox or #chromium ? Right now it's just... Words.
I'd like to believe you, but there's just no reason to.
