Netflix made a bold promise that streaming would be cheaper and better than what existed before. It broke that promise to cash in on its audience.
If it captures Warner Discovery, it would not just remake a major studio, but continue degrading culture by further commercializing it.

Its OK, Trump won't let it happen, he doesn't like Netflix. OTOH his son in law has pulled out of the Paramount counter bid.
Probably Trump will block Netflix, Paramount will buy it cheap because no competition and then they'll gut any non-Trump-worshipping news programmes to stay safe.
@parismarx Are you claiming that Warner Bros. wasn't commercial before? What goals did they have other than making a profit?
@parismarx If not Netflix then who? No publicly traded capitalist is going to be a good steward for anything as long as profits must always increase to satisfy investors. Netflix seems better than everyone except maybe PBS and they have no money.
