While we're only part way through the wet season, California is suffering from a serious snow #drought, with only a fifth of average snow for this time of year, especially in northern California. The snowpack is critical for next year's #water supply.

Map from California Dept. of Water Resources showing Northern Sierra snowpack is 6% of normal for this time of year. Central Sierra at 20%; Southern Sierra at 49%. State as a whole is at 21% of normal for this date (as of December 12th).
