My most popular post so far on the Fediverse is a photo of a rusty punk bus with an integrated ATM, in Berlin Kreuzberg. Symbolism for the win 🤘🏻

And the very symbolic photo is posted with a Creative Commons licence, which is a great feature but too hidden and few #Pixelfed users seem to use it. Also #Mastodon doesn‘t have this option to licence media at all, right? Please correct me if I missed it. If it doesn‘t exist, it seems like a really necessary update?

Will think about to how to formulate proper proposals, #CreativeCommons and #Fediverse have great potential together. Like the Flickr to Wikimedia Commons pipeline in the past.

@lukasfx
I have my Pixelfed posts set to a CC license by default, so I don't have to think about it. And some people do use them on Commons in accordance with that license, which is great.

But I agree lack of visibility is a problem. The licensing only seems to really appear when viewing Pixelfed in a browser. The Pixelfed and Pixelix apps don't show it as far as I can see, and followers on Mastodon will never see it. The location field suffers from similar unpredictable visibility.
