Re-watching DS9 s1e3 Past Prologue. I kind of love watching Sisko and Kira yell at each other, even though I have a hard time with anger in real life. I love that they allowed a Black man to be angry--no anger translator needed for Sisko. I love that he doesn't hesitate to tell people off, either in a subtle way (a quiet "I stand corrected" to the Gul who claims he's not threatening the station) or in a loud way (chewing Kira out about divided loyalties and violence). But I also love that Kira yells right back. She's in a new job with a new boss who has access to a lot more resources than she does, and she doesn't take that into consideration at all, she just states her real opinion. Loudly. #StarTrek #DS9
