Gen AI is slowly producing the Library of Babel -- in which all books exist, but it is mostly an overwhelming plethora of nonsensical books, so that finding the useful becomes hopeless due to lack of searchability. #NoAI

AI 'artists' aren't being 'gatekept' from art in the same way a thief isn't being 'gatekept' from your wallet, or billionaires aren't being 'gatekept' from everyone's labor value.
There are countless easily accessible tools, and they cost far less than chatGPT and image generators. Don't participate in the 20 trillion dollar, electricity wasting, environment & society wrecking, plagiarism software ponzi scheme that is gen AI to pretend you're an artist using stolen labor.
Uncreative billionaire oligarch: "If you don't love AI, you ain't creative!"
If the UK and US were true democracies they'd fulfill the near-unanimous opposition to the Gen-AI plagiarism software scam. But it seems it's profit over people, and all the proverbial 'marbles' are in the $20 trillion spicy autocomplete Torment Nexus bubble.
There's a lot more AI Backlash where that came from!
The Gen-AI calculator can actually get math problems wrong, takes forever, and uses a thousand times more energy than the original. It all adds up to a giant waste & a scam, just like AI in general. #NoAI
@silverspookgames These people will spend $500 on chatgpt credits when a low end drawing tablet costs $60 & a little time to install the drivers for it. When they say real artists are gatekeeping art, they're trying to blame someone else for their want for instant gratification & unwillingness to put in the effort to learn. When they say real artists are gatekeeping art, they're admitting to being afraid of learning. Wasting $500 & still not getting the picture you want after hours is less scary than picking up a pencil & a piece of paper during their lunch break at work.
Disney talking about “Anti-Piracy Policies" when they just joined up with trillion dollar AI companies that don't respect copyright and steal everyone's output.
@silverspookgames I hate these takes so much. Talentless assholes.
@silverspookgames the infinite monkeys and the search for the full works of Shakespeare
@KewlCat Yes, more monkeys = Deus Ex Machina to the Wall Streeters.
Time Magazine promoting the destroyers of human civilization. #NoAI
@silverspookgames Time magazine: the Great Capitulator.
@DifferentDrummer truly, a great capitulation they've just done.
@silverspookgames It's possible to argue that "person of the year" usualy depicts the most infuential person and not necessary a good one. E.g. they sure do love put dictators on cover.
On the other hand, the practice itself is tasteless and based on "Great man theory" + depiction of technocrates as "honest workers" is definitely an attempt to white-wash their image
@NemoAndTheRats Silicon Valley billionaire Marc Benioff owning Time Magazine and profiting from the 20 trillion+ spicy autocomplete 'AI' bubble are also good arguments for this particular cover
@silverspookgames I hope https://libraryofbabel.info/ is in the training data
@amsomniac The ghost of Borges has the last laugh as a playful derivative work of his poisons the actual enemies of knowledge itself!
