# Advent of #markdown, day 10: Reference links

The links we all know and love are called inline links, but you can separate link text and destination when you use reference links. There are multiple types of course.

---

#adventofcode was pretty difficult today. It took me 4h30m, but I managed to write a solution myself with no libraries.

# Advent of #markdown, day 11: Lazy continuation lines

Today's post is a warning. Markdown tries to be very smart with newlines and you need to be careful. The rule of thumb is to always have an empty line after quotes and lists.

Next year I will travel around the world through Canada, the USA and Japan, a month per city. Do you know any cool places and events to visit? Conferences like #siggraph, local meetups like game jams, music, hiking spots...

I'm also looking for travel buddies :)

# Advent of #markdown, day 12: Lists increase by 1

The title says it all. I assume this limitation comes from HTML or is somehow meant to allow writers to be lazy. The specification simply says

> "The numbers of subsequent list items are disregarded."

---

We are already halfway through my list of markdown surprises and I hope you have learned something each day. Please boost this post if your followers would also find this interesting.
