🧵 As of Dec 5 we reached "last core on deck", so here's a brief update.
First things first: we enjoyed beautiful sundowners, but also had to go into WOW (‘wait on weather’) due to strong winds and high waves. Luckily, I don’t get seasick.
The scientists are very busy with sampling. In total we drilled 5 holes and recoverd 367 meters of core. In one of the holes we reached the max depth of 178 meters below seafloor, remember: in 7608 meters water depth. Expedition successful.
