Improvised tea Advent calendar day 3: switching to loose leaf for a sample pack of Friday Afternoon's Snow Day. Spiced chocolate black tea, gotta let it cool a bit but so far it's pretty good.

I got this mug on my wedding weekend from a little local gift shop on Vancouver Island. @Canageek got a similar one with a different glaze.

EDIT: it was the Salish Sea Market in Bowser, BC, and the mugs were made by local artist Katy Fogg.

Black looseleaf tea steeping in a beautiful blue and white handmade mug. The white glaze drips down into the blue and looks a little like fog on the mountains.

Improvised #tea #Advent calendar day 4 is Morning Kick from the 2023 Bird and Blend calendar. It's fine. Kind of gingery.

Today's mug is from a welshcake shop on Cardiff Bay. Many thanks to @jacel for introducing me to Wales and particularly its food.

Green tea steeping in a small white mug with colorful polka dots and the word "cwtch" (Welsh for "hug") in a cute font. It's my hug mug.

Improvised tea Advent calendar day 5 is Salted Caramel Lebkuchen from Bird&Blend. Not bad; label says use milk but it's better without.

I got today's mug from a final clearance sale at my former local yarn store. The cup cozy is Shanalines Designs' Modular Coffee Cup Cozy, which I bound off about two minutes before taking this picture.
