Ngl, it comes off a bit like "Artisanal, hand-crafted alt text only!" Which does feel a bit snobby.
If alt text is really about accessibility, then tools that makes it easier should be applauded even if we don't like ai as a general rule, no?
p.s. The "in app purchases" are just options to tip the developer, there aren't any locked features. Toot! is a paid app but once you've bought it you get access to all the functions, there are no hidden charges or subscriptions or anything like that.
