@mattblaze In the absence of an ND filter, have you ever tried combining multiple shots with bracketed exposures as an HD image? I’ve done that with color shots with good results, but I’ve never tried it with B&W images.

@thomasareed That wouldn't help here. The dynamic range was fine. The problem was I wanted to capture at a larger aperture (for shallower depth of field) than was possible in the bright light (due to the limited fastest shutter speed). Combining multiple images would have still requires shooting some of them with a small aperture.
