My charity @ProtectEarthUK is five years old this week.
Some stats. 馃У
- Planted 157,453 trees
- Created 4,985m of hedgerow
- Removed over 15 acres of invasive species (Japanese knotweed, rhododendrons, bamboo and Himalayan balsam)
- Run 5 free hedge-laying courses for Welsh farmers.
- Working on 100 sites across England, Wales, and Scotland.
- Never sold a single carbon credit to anyone.

- over 2,000 volunteers across all our work, from toddlers to senior citizens well into their 90s, from corporate volunteers to special needs schools.
- Planted trees on farms, parks, schools, wedding venues, five star hotels, GOLF COURSES 馃槺, motorways 馃憥馃徏, river banks, moors, and ancient woodlands.
- Directly manage over 180 acres thanks to ONE MILLION BRITISH POUNDS of donations.
- 84 more acres coming soon. 馃
- Removed three tonnes of plastic guards from woodlands we didn鈥檛 plant.
Our survival rates for planted trees are, on average, including restocking, 77.8%, which is pretty damn good as the target is 80% and this whole climate crisis thing isn鈥檛 helping any.
