this is how they choose medical school students. i'm not actually sure why they need an "algorithm"? grad students seem to do just fine? so let's interrogate that

that's my problem with the use of any statistical or game theory interlocutor. the notion of fairness is the next thing i was going to interrogate. in this case, it's defined as strategyproofness, which if you think about it is a completely different thing than fairness.
it directly encodes this wildly cynical view of "strategy" and fails to consider encoding the alternative. to me this isn't like an abstract argument the definition of measurements is the point and the problem with science is that they don't do it
