When I ran ten years ago I had upbeat music to motivate me.

Nowadays I enjoy all the headspace I have when I run. I listen to the beat of my steps onto the ground, I thrive in the soothing songs of the wind and the birds around.

It’s the little “me time” I can get. I’m fine alone with my thoughts, I don’t need anybody else’s to interrupt mine.

@thibaultamartin I like listening to radio plays or audiobooks instead. Being alone with my thoughts is not good for my mental health 😅

@thibaultamartin I have experimented with music but always came to the conclusion I like to run or ride bicycle without it and think about things I don't have headspace to think of. Although, there are some occasions when music is necessary for me. One of the days I put music ob is running on treadmill and on the days when I have to motivate myself to go super easy. Then something slow and enjoyable really helps. Other than that - my own thoughts it is!

@thibaultamartin When I was running regularly I'd always put a 99% invisible episode on. Very soothing and can use the time to ponder on it.
