Israeli outlets, including i24 News, Channel 15, and Yedioth Ahronoth, report that construction of a secret railway linking the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel has continued despite the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Channel 15 noted that the project has reached an advanced stage and has been carried out discreetly throughout the war. - The Cradle
The project is intended to create a commercial corridor connecting Asia to Europe, transporting goods from India to Abu Dhabi Port and then via high-speed train through the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan to Haifa Port for distribution to Europe and the US.
UAE and Israeli railway officials have agreed on joint oversight of the route and are exploring alternative paths, including a crossing near the southern Dead Sea, to address political challenges.
