People who work on a computer, any tricks to keep your hands warm in winter?

@thibaultamartin unexpected advice: wear a hat or scarf. the body tends to cool down extremities (so hand and foot fingers) so as to keep more important body parts warmer.

@thibaultamartin I've got some fingerless gloves, very thin / tight ones for ppl with arthritis. Not amazing, but definitely better than nothing.

@thibaultamartin electric warming desk mat, recommended by the Slow Heat movement in Belgium. I can find references for you if you're interested. Works well for me. "Mitaines" don't work for me (or the ones I tried are too small).

@arthurlutzim I'm actually pretty interested. Doesn't it harm devices that rest on it?

@thibaultamartin I set it to the lowest temperature, only half of my keyboard is resting on it. I don't think this level of heat would harm the devices. I'll tell you at the end of the winter if anything has melted 😉

One downside is the mat that I chose is not very soft to the touch, feels a bit too plastic to me. Getting used to it, might buy another model next winter to try having a smoother pad.

Work indoors, at at temperature of 21-23 degrees. At least that is what the "Arbeitsplatzverordnung" suggests. Works for me.

@thibaultamartin A friend of mine recommended a heated mouse. I haven't tried that myself though; I don't use my mouse that much, and when I do, it's a vertical mouse to limit the RSI. So my personal strategy is just to suffer 😢
