@richpuchalsky Our local food bank happily accepted an entire car load (not just the trunk, the back seat and the front seat too) of lots of different types of squash last year. (But this year our squash harvest was dismal. Sigh.)

I should try calling more of the local ones. I tried one and the web sites of the others said no perishables, but maybe they make an exception for semi-perishables.
