It's National Tree Week in the UK and, to mark the occasion, here's a photo of Wistman's Wood - a well-known remnant of Britain's, once-abundant, temperate rainforest. These stunted and twisted trees, growing amidst boulders, are one of the highest oakwoods in Britain.
The photo is from this time of year, but a few years ago - before we were being discouraged from walking amongst them. There's a location shot in my reply to this post.
