Trying to cross the country in a single train, already racked up three Deutsche Bahn Bingo slots:

- Delay because of previous journey
- Exceptionally High Demand Expected
- Rail stock switched and seat reservation changed

Let’s hope that’s it.

[Update: raked up a total of 45 mins delay, not too bad given the state of the system, and the train was not as full in the end]

That reminds me, I wanted to ask: does the #BahnBubble know why train journeys don’t get extended by the duration of the known construction delays on the line?

It seems those are just ignored and that leads to every journey of that train going later and later during a day. Could they just, like, not do that?

@janl The division responsible for the timetable is a huge mess from what I have heard, mostly due to staffing shortages.Thats why timetables often dont get adjusted, or way too late, for construction works.

@janl I believe some are, most of my train journeys to Berlin (from Cologne) had like 20-30 minutes tacked on top, but that’s overly optimistic and you’ll likely added up with rather double the amount 🙃
