Some exciting news: I've been invited to speak at #BolognaTechWeek. They have a track called "Social Media Strategies" and for the first time ever they will talk about the #Fediverse !
I'll be on a panel alongside @niccolove & @morloi (who set this in motion - grazie!)
I'm not used to speaking about the Fediverse in Italian... so this week I will translate some of my #TheFutureIsFederated articles... so I can practice 🤗

@_elena @niccolove @morloi We should start speaking about Fediverse in Italian more. It's not known so much here. American folks are more present on open social web, because as we say (let me translate it properly), "when water reaches your ass, it's time to learn swimming". United States have chosen a president who's very rigid, closed-minded, authoritarian, ultra-conservative. Progressive folks must find alternatives. Here in Italy the government is right wing oriented, but many people still believe it's not so rigid like american. The difference? Our governments kiss catholic church's and American government's boots.
