they said it couldnt be done - two instances of epsonscan2 running at the same time (one benefit of running linux, can't do it in windows)

problem 1 - when they both double feed or jam at around the same time, because the linux version's preview doesn't work properly, i can't tell which one is which, so can't have one continue while I fix the other, slowing me down

problem 2 - it runs out of memory with two going at the same time?? (its "only" using 11GB, but there's still 5GB free mate)

@decryption I wonder what it is trying to allocate?

An A4 sheet at 300 dpi is about 8.7 megapixels. You should be able to fit a lot of those in even one gigabyte of memory.

@decryption run them with strace. I'm guessing they are accessing the same file or shared memory. You might be able to isolate them from each other using cgroups
