Good morning Fediverse.
Woke up this morning to see my partner, out our bedroom window, walking across the roof in his t-shirt and boxers, picking up a bird in his hands and carrying it away…
This little kingfisher was being attacked by myna birds.
He popped the kingfisher into a little pot on my balcony to recover. 15 mins later went to check on him and said “hey little guy, how you feeling?”
Kingfisher gave him a look like “fuck off you big scary human” and flew away.

Might have to lift my game.
@emmadavidson Such a nice story to start the week. Klingfishers' way of showing appreciation seems to be unusual. When I was a kid I rescued one from our swimming pool and got bitten for my good deed 😆
