If you are into archeology, BBC has made a very interesting program about the extremely well preserved bog bodies found in Denmark. Even though these human remains are more than 2000 years old, they are surprisingly well preserved, and allows us to see what clothes people wore, what they ate, and more.

@randahl

I always found bog bodies extremely creepy.

Especially those that were tied up.

@mina I have stood beside these bog bodies many times. To me, they are not that frightening in person, because they look very unreal, almost artificial. It feels like looking at a bronze sculpture, more than it feels like looking at flesh and blood.

@randahl

Good for you!

I always felt extremely uneasy looking at them.

@mina I can certainly see why. And it does not help that they are usually exhibited in pitch black rooms. I suspect this is to prevent them from drying out in sunlight.

@randahl

The funny thing is: Just before you posted the link, I was actually thinking about bog bodies.

For a mini horror story.
