My ideal search engine would be a paid search service with its own search index, no ads, no tracking, no LLM "AI" features, and doesn't include LLM generated content in the results (with a "report AI" button to improve this feature). As far as I know, there's nothing even close to this in existence. Currently, I am using DDG 'lite' which is OK, but falls short in many ways, including paying for search results from terrible companies.
