Academic masto-hivemind: One thing we'd like to do with our bachelor's and master's theses (in part as a response to AI, but also just because it's the right thing to do) is to have students submit a kind of "research notebook" that talks about their process: reading notes, narratives of research experience, interactions with colleagues or AI, etc.

Does anybody know of articles in pedagogy on this, or examples of this kind of thing? I'm failing at finding useful resources. boost_requested

@pence not rigorously tied to theses, but by a similar "help them think about how they think, and also AI" my partner is teaching this semester with a "commonplace book" as progress journal for their final project, reviewed a few times over the semester.

(https://notebookofghosts.com/2018/02/25/a-brief-guide-to-keeping-a-commonplace-book/ is the background she shared with students to orient)
