@actualham Aaaaarghhhhh I hate this in every possible way. Bad leaders lie with numbers. I see that @kate has already pointed to Gaslight; I keep thinking about The Manchurian Candidate and the ever-changing number of known Communists. The truth about what you’re doing doesn’t matter if you have a number that’s convincing.
@actualham @brian_gettler I am so familiar with this tactic. In public meetings more than once my courageous colleagues called it out as institutional gaslighting: untruths and half truths designed both to conceal truths and to coerce decisions.
