Two: Posters for student body elections. Aside from a brief space in the student newspaper, posters were the only way to communicate campaign messages. I got Melanie elected to the Legislative Council one time by designing a poster around an ink drawing by Aubrey Beardsley.
Three: Our entertainment center. (No, there wasn't really anything called that back then. This hodgepodge would have simply been referred to as "the stereo.") The object to the right of the amp is a preamp, and the bird perch is a TV antenna that is actually the antenna for the FM tuner. Our radio stations were all in LA, a two-hour drive away, so reception could be tricky. The bird may have helped.
