Had no idea how many initiatives are already rolling on decarbonized and sustainable energy in #waterlooregion . Which is probably another tell as to how neglected the residential condo sector is when it comes to access to green building projects. Why are property managers not all over this?

Debbie Chapman asked the panel why city council kept seeing planning applications that stated “geothermal prohibited”. Nobody in energy management or the regional councillors and staff present seemed to know that until another attendee pointed out that he had been at a regional council session where the damn region passed a bylaw prohibiting drilling for ground source heat pumping. 🤦♀️
