A much better visual guide than ones I've seen elsewhere. Includes examples of edge cases and how to determine one way or the other. https://www.larimer.org/sites/default/files/uploads/2017/lcdhe-dented-cans.pdf A good resource for the current times.

My attempt to make a tactile version of the guide linked upthread:
1. Find the seams. Take your can and remove the label. Feel for a line of raised metal going from end to end. This is the side seam. Then, feel for a bump where the lid attaches to the top and/or bottom of the can. This/these are the end seams. Some cans only have a top end seam, while others have both top and bottom.

#ALT4me if someone could double-check my work on this, please
