A MEASURED PROPOSAL:
Donald J. Trump is suing the BBC for reporting on him—they edited down an interview of his and made him feel bad.
It is NOT SAFE to report on Donald J. Trump.
So I suggest that for safety all news channels should replace every mention of him with the Hypnotoad:
@cstross I personally think Trump should be ignored by the media - and everyone else. His ego thrives on being top of the news and conversations.
#DonaldJTrump is *threatening to* sue, not yet suing, over editing of xyr speech at the start of the "Save America March", not over editing an interview.

I went through that very speech word by word to research it. *And* I had to endure a speech by Rudy Giuliani as well.

In the interest of justice, it's possible to cleverly edit an interview, cherry-picking to support an agenda, take them out of context, and distort the truth in the minds of the public.
Let the whole unedited interview be made available, as matter of journalistic policy, so people can decide the truth for themselves, instead of having a third party curate it and manipulate people.
