@timo21 @heidilifeldman The difficulty is that there will be traitors who vote correctly, but who helped negotiate the betrayal behind the scenes. Dems who want to cave, but who face voters in 2026, might want to let senators who aren't up for re-election until 2028 or 2030 take the heat. Susan Collins is an old hand at this; she will vote against the GOP on an issue that might outrage Maine voters if her vote isn't needed, but never will if it would actually defeat a bill the GOP wants to pass.
