New mission just dropped!
UNDP's Digital, AI and Innovation Hub has asked me to develop a portfolio for deep economic reform at the city level – we are calling it economic transformation. Our economies have lost their alignment with human wellbeing and planetary balance; cities and regions have been innovating around economic governance for decades.

My colleagues and I believe the times are ripe for assembling all this innovation into a coherent portfolio for brave mayors who want to undertake a *deliberate* overhaul of their cities' economies. In this, we will be building on A LOT of work from many great colleagues across UNDP and the United Nations systems.

Making the economy more humane is a collective effort – almost a civilizational one. Many smart, committed people are already at it, in institutions, academia, business, finance. If you are one of them, know that you have a brother-in-arms in me. Reach out if you think we can support each other.
