For the 50 states and Puerto Rico, the US Drought Monitor shows 36.64% in moderate drought or worse, compared to 36.55% last week.

Mostly improvements occurred across parts of the Northeast, with small areas of degradation. Mixed conditions occurred in the Southeast and Midwest. Mostly degradations occurred in the Great Plains, with some areas of improvement. The West saw scattered areas of mostly improvement. In Hawaii, drought worsened on Maui.
